CVE-2026-19316#
Fireware OS Pre-Authentication Double Free in iked Allows Denial of Service (DoS)
Summary #
A double-free vulnerability in the WatchGuard Fireware OS iked process allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to create a Denial of Service (DoS) condition in VPN processing by sending specially crafted network traffic.
Impact: An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a single crafted UDP packet to trigger a double-free/use-after-free condition in the IKEv2 daemon (iked), causing the process to crash and respawn, resulting in a denial-of-service condition for VPN services. Because payload contents, sizes, and ordering are attacker-controlled, there is potential for heap corruption that could increase exploitability beyond a crash, though remote code execution was not confirmed.
