CVE-2026-81851

Fireware OS Heap-Based Buffer Overflow in iked Allows Denial of Service

Medium 6.9 CVSS v4.0 › Published 2026-08-27Updated 2026-08-27

Summary #

A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Fireware OS's iked process allows an authenticated administrator to crash the IKE daemon (iked), resulting in a denial of service, by saving a specially crafted configuration.

Impact: An authenticated administrator can trigger heap memory corruption in the IKE daemon (iked), causing the process to crash and resulting in a denial of service. While theoretically possible, achieving code execution would require significant additional effort to gain control over the corrupted memory using attacker-controlled encrypted ciphertext.
